The PD77 is an affordable, easy to install DVD player system. This "backseat cinema" features two 7-inch LCD widescreens that mount snugly in harnesses behind front seat headrests, playing DVD movies, music CDs and Kodak Picture CDs, while also being compatible with most gaming consoles. Thanks to the PD77, kid's favorites like Sponge Bob, Shrek or Elmo can come along for the ride, whether it is across the country or across town. A guaranteed boredom buster, the PD77 is powered by the car's 12V power supply. Two built-in stereo speakers deliver surround sound excitement on the go. There are also two sets of earbuds for headphone jacks so the kids can share the fun with each other but not the driver. Unlike competitors' systems, the PD77 does not have a separate DVD player that can be lost, stolen from the car, or broken during driving. Instead, the progressive-scan player is integrated into one of the two screen tablets, making for fewer cables. This versatile design also permits the unit with the built-in DVD player to be used as a separate entertainment solution by mom or dad on an airplane, at home, or when riding a commuter train to work, like any other portable DVD player. There is even an A/V output for playing DVDs on a home theater system. Picture quality on the 16: 9 aspect ratio, active matrix TFT LCD screens is outstanding, even in bright sunlight. It brings to life all the exhilaration of today's DVDs and games.
